Stepper

原文-步进电机是一种将电脉冲转化为角位移的执行机构。通俗一点来讲,当步进驱动器接收到一个脉冲信号,它就驱动步进电机按设定的方向转动一个固定的角度(及步进角)。
我们可以通过控制脉冲个数来控制角位移量,从而达到准确定位的目的;同时也可以通过控制脉冲频率来控制电机转动的速度和加速度,从而达到调速的目的。

步进电机分类
1.永磁式(PM):一般为两相,转矩和体积较小,步进角一般为7.5或15度
2.反应式(VR):一般为三相,可实现大转矩输出,步进角一般为1.5度,但噪声和振动都很大。在欧美等发达国家,80年代已被淘汰。
3.混合式(HB):混合了永磁式和反应式的优点,又分两相和五相。两相步进角一般为1.8度,五相步进角一般为0.72度。这种混合式步进电机应用最广泛。

My Translation:
Stepper is an actuator converting electrical pulse into angular displacement. Once a stepper motor driver received a pulse signal, it would drive the stepper to turn at a certain angle, say the step angle, towards the set direction.
To position accurately, we can check the amount of angular displacement by controlling the pulse number. Meanwhile, the rotational frequency of motors may be checked by controlling the pulse rate to adjust the speed.

Types of Stepper Motors
1. Permanent Magnet (PM):  PM stepper motors are two-phase with lower torque. Their step angles usually being 7.5 degrees or 15 degrees.
2. Variable Reluctance (VR):  Variable reluctance stepper motors generally are three-phase and have higher torque output with the step angle of 1.5 degrees. However, such motors have high noises and horrible vibrations, and have already been obsolete in developed European and American countries since the 1980s.
3. Hybrid(HB): Hybrid steppers, the most widely applied steppers at present, combine the superiorities of the first two types. Such steppers are usually two-phase (1.8 degrees )or five-phase (0.72 degrees).
